Arthur Rank Hospice Charity
Arthur Rank Hospice Charity supports people living in Cambridgeshire living with an advanced serious illness or other life-limiting condition. They care for more than 4,000 patients each year at Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge, the Alan Hudson Day Treatment Centre in Wisbech and in patients’ own homes.
We coach members of the Senior Leadership Team. This is what two of them say about our leadership coaching:
Sara Robins, Director of Clinical Services
“I’ve never had coaching before so I didn’t know what to expect. Because Sean isn’t part of the organisation he listens without prejudice. He asks really good questions that challenge me and make me think about things in a new way. We talk through issues in a safe space so I feel able to talk about anything. If I just carried on doing things the same way I’d always get same result. By thinking about doing things differently, or even just tweaking them, it has made me more reflective. Sean sends me stuff to think about which I would never see normally. He has enabled me to think differently about how I do things. I find our discussions really helpful.”
Donna Talbot, Director of Fundraising and Communications
“Regular sessions with Paul have proved extremely valuable. Our work is hugely rewarding and equally intense. During the pandemic we have faced even greater challenges but also precious opportunities. Paul’s wealth of commercial experience and proven track record for people management have dovetailed beautifully, helping me to delve deeper into my decision-making processes, emotional reactions and behaviours whilst keeping the needs of our beneficiaries and the wider charity front of mind. Paul has provided space to scrutinise my own actions and better understand the response of others. We explore areas beyond the immediately obvious and it is this richness of conversation that creates the greatest impact.”
We are proud to be supporting the leaders of an organisation which supports good life and good death.
